What exactly is ‘the West’? ‘The West’ has quickly become one of the most common phrases in modern politics. Marco Rubio. Elon Musk. Ursula von der Leyen. These are just some of the important names who invoke the concept.
The term “the West” is especially popular among militant Zionists, from Ben Shapiro to Dennis Prager. These figures talk about “Western values” when justifying foreign wars and telling White people how we should think about ourselves and our history.
Naturally, many people who hear the term ‘the West’ think that it refers to European peoples and their descendants in the Americas. That’s certainly what I think of when I hear it. But ‘the West’ as it’s invoked by Zionists and NATO politicians today is something very different.
Here’s the truth: the term “the West” has been hijacked.
There is the real West— the civilizations of Europe. The peoples, art, faith, and history of the continent.
And then there is the fake West—a post-1945 geopolitical bloc centered in Washington. This is what the aforementioned political figures are invoking.
These two ‘Wests’ are not the same, and this essay will explain the difference.
For me personally, this issue has always been connected to my own background. I grew up with a connection to two worlds— America, the country I was born in, and Italy and Ireland, the countries my family came from. When I think about the real West, I think about European cities, Renaissance art, Christian traditions, and the languages and cultures of Europe.
But today, Zionists are using this heritage as a cover for an agenda that has nothing to do with the wellbeing of European peoples. In this essay, I’m tearing down the façade so you’ll never confuse the real West with the fake, Zionist ‘West’ again.
The Real West
So what did ‘the West’ mean historically?
Before the 20th century, Medieval and Renaissance Europeans did sometimes use the concept of “the West”— the Latin “Occident” referred to the Western Christian world, especially after the East-West Schism of 1054. But this concept of ‘Western’ was always tied to specific peoples and specific lands. It was not a floating abstraction. It was Christendom, and Christendom was made up of French, Germans, Englishmen, Italians, and other groups in Western Europe.
‘The West’ meant cultures descended from Greco-Roman-Germanic traditions, fused with a Christian heart. That is the civilization that produced Charlemagne, Aquinas, Dante, and the European university system.
The philosophy of the so-called West today has nothing to do with these people. A liberal or conservative will tell you that ‘Western values’ mean freedom, democracy, and human rights. (Yes, despite everything, some of them still say this.)
Supposedly, this Western tradition of freedom dates back to Ancient Greece, who pioneered ‘freedom’ and then passed it down to Rome, who then passed it down to the Enlightenment. Sounds quaint enough. But this whole idea starts to fall apart upon basic scrutiny.
First of all, when is the last time you saw a leader in the political West cite Greece as an inspiration for any of their actions or beliefs? When Greece is invoked, it’s usually cherrypicked: a philosopher or king is retroactively used to justify a policy like LGBT acceptance. There is no serious attempt to understand Greek culture or history.
This Zionist Western narrative also leaves out major parts of European history entirely.
For example, the ancient German peoples are ignored, despite them having an enormous impact on Europe, especially after the fall of the Roman Empire. German kingdoms dominated Europe for centuries, stretching from France to Britain to Italy. When the Huns invaded Europe from the East, it was a Roman-Germanic coalition who defeated them at the Battle of the Catalaunian Plains. This was a major turning point in European history.
The civilization that eventually became “the West” wasn’t simply Athens → Rome → Enlightenment → NATO. It emerged from the interaction of Roman, Christian, Germanic, and other European traditions over many centuries.
This directly leads into Medieval Christendom. For 1,000 years, Europe was made up of Christian states that shaped the continent forever. The Holy Roman Empire, England, France, the Italian states. This is a massive and epoch-defining era, yet it gets little attention from fanatics of the Zionist West.
That’s because Christendom was too rooted in the real people of Europe to serve as a floating abstraction. Prophets of the Zionist West cherry pick different time periods and ignore 90% of the history of the very countries they call Western.
Now, sometimes figures of the political West, like Marco Rubio, do throw Christianity into their definition of it – but they always poison it by combining it with Judaism, into ‘Judeo-Christianity’. Figures like Rubio even go as far as claiming that the West, as it exists today, represents Christian civilization.
But look at the laws of the United States today, the head of NATO and the political West. If our European ancestors saw the policies that Rubio and others like him support, they would not recognize him as one of their own. They’d have him thrown in prison, or worse. Calling this system ‘Christian civilization’ is obviously wrong. This is a liberal-capitalist system – one that is deeply aligned with Zionism and Jewish supremacy.
The ‘Political West’
The fake West today takes form in what’s called the ‘political West.’ This is the political system of NATO. The ‘Political West’ is the interconnected web of NATO countries – the United States, Canada, Britain, France, etc.
This Political West has become deeply intertwined with Zionist forces, which is why I also refer to it as the Zionist West. Before we look at what this political West actually means, we should understand how it came to exist in the first place.
The story goes back to the end of World War 2. In 1945, Europe lay in ruins. The United States, by contrast, was economically dominant and physically untouched on its own soil. This was not a moment of liberation, but of domination. The American military stationed hundreds of thousands of troops in Europe, many of which are still there to this day.
In 1947, the Truman Doctrine was announced. This framed the world as divided between “free peoples” and “totalitarian regimes.” This redefined “the West” into a geopolitical bloc led by the United States.
Next came the Marshall Plan in 1948, which provided billions in American loans and grants to rebuild European economies. The Marshall Plan was genuine economic assistance, but it also dramatically increased American economic and political influence in Western Europe.
The final piece was moved into place in 1949, with the creation of NATO. NATO is the institutional skeleton of the political West. At face value, it was a mutual defense pact between equals — but in reality, it was a framework to cement American power over the post-war order.
European nations contribute troops and territory, but the United States retains command and control. NATO’s own historical records state that every Supreme Allied Commander Europe has been an American officer.
French leader Charles De Gaulle saw this clearly. Acting as president of post-war France, he concluded that NATO was incompatible with French sovereignty. In 1966, he withdrew France from NATO’s integrated military command and expelled NATO’s headquarters from French soil. His reforms stayed in place all the way until 2009. De Gaulle demonstrates that even a major Western European leader saw NATO as a problem for national sovereignty.
All of this history reveals the truth: When you see someone with a Ukrainian flag ranting about how perfect ‘the West’ today is, they’re not talking about a civilization or a heritage. They’re talking about a military and economic hierarchy built by Washington after 1945.
The way the Zionist West’s ideologues categorize countries as ‘Western’ and ‘non-Western’ is not based on blood or history, and it leads to absurd scenarios.
Take Germany. They say that before the Weimar Republic, the German Empire was not fully ‘Western’. Then during the Weimar Republic, Germany suddenly became Western. Then Hitler took power, and Germany was no longer Western — despite being the same people, the same land, and the same language.
Then after the war, West Germany was Western, while East Germany was not, even though both were populated by the exact same ethnic group. Then the Berlin Wall fell, and all of Germany became Western again overnight.
In the span of a single century, Germany was non-Western, then Western, then non-Western again, then half-Western, then fully Western — while the German people themselves remained who they had always been. The only variable that changed was political alignment.
“The West” properly understood is a matter of shared history, shared blood, and shared heritage. This means Germany has always been Western. But the Zionist West disagrees – because it has never been about any of those things.
The same problem becomes even clearer when we look at the modern “West’s” relationship with Russia. The hatred that the political class directs towards Russia is chiefly a result of Zionist influence. Russia shares many things with the rest of Europe; it’s a historically White Christian nation that exists on the European continent.
Russia has contributed tremendous art, music, and science to European history. Dostoevsky and Tolstoy reinvented the novel, Tchaikovsky wrote music that defined the ballet. Mendeleev gave the world the periodic table. The leaders of the Zionist West have designated Russia as an alien enemy simply because it refuses to kneel to Washington and Israel.
Russia may not be Western in the traditional sense, but it is a country deeply connected to the rest of Europe. The fact that NATO leaders treat it as a totally alien entity is another example of how their version of the West is primarily a political tool.
We’ve looked at who gets excluded from the Zionist West. Now let’s look at who gets included.
The idea that Israel is part of a ‘Western Civilization’ is even more ridiculous. The government is racially supremacist for Jews over non-Jews, and they literally mock the idea of human rights. Despite all of this, the political West keeps its trade and military association agreements with Israel. A country that literally calls White people goyim, or cattle. The idea that this is part of a common civilization with Europe is absurd.
At this point, the distinction should be obvious. The political West does not represent European peoples or civilization, or anything even close to them.
The Modern Implications
Today, Zionists will often tell you that their version of the West has nothing to do with the actual people of Europe and is purely political. According to them, anyone from anywhere can become ‘Western’ by adopting ‘Western ideals.’
Western ideals in this framework can basically be boiled down to loyalty to Israel, and loyalty to the American narrative of the world wars as righteous crusades. They may add other ideas in there as window dressing, but when you get down to brass tacks these are the only two variables that they actually care about.
According to Zionists and their allies, if you support America and Israel, you’re Western. If you don’t, you’re not. It doesn’t matter if your ancestors have lived in Europe for thousands of years.
Now despite all of these things, as I mentioned earlier, there exists a lot of confusion among ordinary people when they hear the term “the West”. When they see a politician like Marco Rubio ranting about how the West needs to become stronger, many think he means White people, the majority group in the West. They hear “Western civilization” and think of cathedrals, of their ancestors, of the blood and soil that produced them. This is the con.
When Rubio or any other NATO politician talks about the West, they are not talking about the survival of European people. Just ask them – ask them if the West means White Europeans, and they will recoil in horror. They’ll tell you that that has nothing to do with being a Western person.
Let me give a concrete example: the EU and NATO are explicitly anti-racial organizations that treat any type of ethnic and racial nationalism as forbidden. To show this, let’s look at the EU Anti-Racism Strategy of 2026. It states; “there is no acceptance in the EU of any form of racism or discrimination on the grounds of racial or ethnic origin.”
We see here how the “Zionist West” effectively decrees that Europeans cannot define themselves by their racial and ethnic identity. But how can a European people preserve its identity if ethnic and ancestral boundaries are forbidden? They cannot provide an answer to this question, because they don’t care if European peoples do disappear.
If you think the US is any better, you would be wrong. American universities and elite institutions have discriminated against White Americans for decades. The future of White Americans themselves is unclear, as they now approach minority status in the US for the first time in history.
The right winger who enlists in the US military thinking he’s defending his people is in reality defending a system that has declared his people’s existence to be illegitimate.
Marco Rubio’s 2026 Munich Speech
So with all these contradictions, what happens when this imposter version of the West needs White people to fight for it? This is a great time to look at Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s 2026 Munich Security Conference speech. This speech is the perfect example of nationalist rhetoric being co-opted and redirected toward the political West.
In the speech, Rubio explicitly described Americans and Europeans as belonging to “one civilization”, connected by shared history, Christian faith, and ancestry. These are arguments that many genuine nationalists make. But Rubio twists every single point into a call for White people across the world to unite as useful idiots to fight against the American and Israeli government’s enemies for them.
At one point in the speech, he states; “Armies do not fight for abstractions. Armies fight for a people. Armies fight for a nation. Armies fight for a way of life.”
This is the most dangerous line in the speech because it’s true — and he’s using it to sell the opposite of what it means. He says this, then immediately defines “Western civilization” as NATO and the American-led order. But if armies fight for a people and a nation, then why should White people fight for the Zionist West?
Its leaders directly state it has no ‘people’. Rubio is using the language of blood and soil to recruit soldiers for a project that forbids blood and soil as a basis for identity. He tells you to fight for your people, then names a “people” that includes everyone and no one.
Rubio next says; “Mass migration is not some fringe concern of little consequence. It was and continues to be a crisis which is transforming and destabilizing societies all across the West.”
Now we can test whether Rubio really means what he says. If the political West exists to preserve European peoples, then we should expect its institutions to define those peoples and defend them. Instead, Rubio and the political class he hails from are the architects of the borderless immigration regime.
Rubio is denouncing a crisis that his own political project created and sustains. It was Western capitalist governments who cranked open the borders with the 1965 immigration act, and similar policies in Europe. Taken in this light, Rubio is taking a core nationalist concern – immigration - and attaching it to the very system that enables mass immigration.
Rubio goes on to say; “For we in America have no interest in being polite and orderly caretakers of the West’s managed decline.”
It’s very important to understand what “the West” means in this sentence. He is not talking about the survival of the English, the French, or the Germans. He is talking about the survival of American-Israeli dominance. And his solution to its decline is for Europeans to die slowing it down.
At this point, it’s important to assess how this all connects directly to Ukraine and the ongoing Ukraine War.
Ukraine is the vision that many people like Rubio have for the future of ‘the West’. A destroyed country, where men are kidnapped off the streets and thrown into bullets. Where White Ukrainians die on the frontlines and Indians and Africans are imported by their government to replace them.
This is precisely what the “political West” is. Ukraine is its true face when there’s no mask to hide it. If warmongers have their way, that is coming to every NATO country.
To put this all simply: The ideas put forward by the Zionist West are a strategy by people who hate the ethnic nations of Europe, and their descendants in the Americas, to redefine our history and identity for us. They want to tell us who we are, and who our enemies are. But the harsh truth of this world is, anyone who lets their enemies define them won’t survive for long.
So if we accept the idea that European civilization and the Zionist political West are not the same thing, what would a genuine European foreign policy look like?
It would begin with a simple principle: European governments should pursue European interests instead of treating them as identical to Washington and Israel’s. That means real autonomy, a reassessment of NATO, and policy decisions based on the security and sovereignty of European nations. That is what a real return to European civilization would look like.
And this principle matters most when it comes to the question of whether White people should fight and die for something. War should never be entered simply because politicians invoke an abstract idea of “the West”. We should only fight wars when there is a truly necessary cause, and when the war serves the legitimate interests of our own people.
That brings us back to the word “West.” The bottom line is this: When the Zionist political class says ‘the West’, what they are really talking about is this: A raceless, nationless loyalty to Israel and NATO. But they want you to think they mean this: Blood and soil.
They want to use nationalist and traditionalist sounding ideas to make White people die fighting their enemies for them. This is the con that has defined the entire ‘slopulism’ era. We must not make this mistake; we must not let them deceive us.
The real West is the nations of Europe: Germans, Frenchmen, Italians, Englishmen, and the rest of the European family. The true heart of a civilization is the people, their history, and their inheritance. It’s thousands of years of work, sacrifice, and intelligence passed down for generations upon generations. It’s millions of people across time handing down wisdom with the hope that new generations can build an even greater future. It’s a book that is still being written.
That is what’s worth fighting for.
